THE FIT CO. TEAM

STEVEN MADEN

I started personal training in 2009. Initially mainly coaching 1-1 sessions working with a variety of clients who all helped me to build a confidence & belief in the programming that I delivered which helped them work to their own individual goals in a challenging yet fun environment. In total I worked for 6.5 years in England before moving to Perth/Australia in late 2015.

In Australia I’ve mainly coached group semi private training sessions with a little bit of 1-1 coaching. I helped build 3 semi-private facilities up to over 200 members, until I decided to start my own family health and fitness business.

The Fit Co is how I hope to be able to pass on my knowledge of 13 years of programming & nutrition to help every person improve their life not only physically but mentally, as well and to continually educate myself, so that I can always offer the most up to date evidence based advice.

NAOMI MADEN

I have loved the gym and training for as long as I can remember. After I left school I started participating in boxing, les mills and all kinds of fitness classes, and eventually ended up falling in love with the balance of strength and conditioning training.  I love to challenge myself to my fitness limits, I love to feel strong, and I love the gym community.

My health and fitness journey started out about my physical goals, goals which I was able to reach with the education I was given, but more importantly for me, were the mental changes it gave me.  My hope is that through The Fit Co, our facility can help people find in themselves what I found in myself.

I am always happy to help in whatever way I can, you will find me training along side all of our amazing members, or behind the scenes helping run all things administration!

LORNA MCCARTHY

With a strong background in sports, health and fitness have always been at the core of my life. Growing up, I played soccer at club, county, and provincial levels, along with Gaelic football and camogie. These experiences taught me from a young age to focus on exercise for performance and strength, a philosophy I carry with me today.

In recent years, I’ve enjoyed pushing my own boundaries by taking on challenges like a half Ironman and an Ultramarathon. I believe we are never too old to learn or try something new. I’m incredibly passionate about helping our members discover their potential and embrace their own challenges also.

I believe health is multifaceted—encompassing physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. I encourage finding balance between yin and yang energies as a foundation for overall health. My qualifications include Cert III and IV in Fitness, 250 hours of yoga teacher training, and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture. I also hold a BA in Social Care Work and I have worked as a Disability Support Worker for 17 years, supporting people from all walks of life.

I genuinely care about the wellbeing of every person and I aim to be a listening ear and a helping hand to all our members on their health journeys.
